Welcome to the Freelance Universe section of Treadhead Studios. My name is White Highwind and I shall be your guide for this evening.

So, what is Freelance, you ask? Well, that could mean two things. Freelance is a mercenary organisation, but the universe in which it is set is called the Freelance Universe.

The Freelance Universe is a fully living, breathing world created from scratch, populated with many countries, each including its own history, politics and economy. A complete map of the FL World exists, but has not been uploaded at this moment in time.

The Countries in the FL Universe lack efficient standing armies thanks to a worldwide global peace treaty that has been in place for decades. This has lead to the age of the mercenary, with many countries having their own dedicated mercenary groups, who vary from urban thugs to full blown military superpowers.

The main focus of the Freelance Comics is of course, Freelance: How a small team of down and out guns-for-hire end up controlling their own military superpower. These comics barely touch on the entire world they are set in.

In due time, more and more FL related content will be uploaded, which should help you work out exactly what FL is, and how you can try and make your own stories using this universe.
