Burning to Proserpina
Draconis Combine

From the office of Intelligence Officer Captain Guy "Bloodhound" Daniels:
Very efficient! The Amphigean Light Assault Group were hit so hard and so fast that not only did they fail to get a message out, but with all of their 'Mechs disabled or dispersed in such a way, it is going to take a long time for the people of Proserpina to realize that their Hyper-Pulse Generator is having more than just technical difficulties. Not only will reinforcements during missions be less likely, it will hamper troop movements throughout the planet. The Free Mutineers have an internal network which is not disrupted by the HPG's outage, so this should help them out indirectly as well.
Our next mission is going to be on the surface of Proserpina. I'll be waiting for specific instructions when we touch down at our designated landing site, which is just on the coast of the continent of Darwan. There's a small settlement nearby called Bullmar with a population of about 25,000. It is one hundred percent on the side of the Mutineers, but with no active militia besides a single Scorpion tank, are generally being overlooked by the garrison forces here. This will be our staging point.
A DMI agent did warn me to keep an eye out for DEST and ISF presence everywhere we look, including within Bullmar. He also sent me this news brief shortly before the HPG went down. I think this will also make our campaign that much easier:

Incoming Transmission... Galedon V Public News Radio
Yesterday morning, mercenaries hired by the Draconis Combine set fire to one of the commercial districts of the planetary capital city of Washkatin, the city they were contracted to defend, while in the process of quelling a riot. Damage estimates are said to be over eight million C-Bills. The planetary governor, the recently elected Mosami Horkiro, had this to say about what the people are now calling the Washkatin Firestorm: "When the 2nd An Ting Legion hired the Vikings Irregulars mercenary group, we were overjoyed to hear that such a high-profile small unit was to assist with the garrison. It is so unfortunate to hear that the Vikings allowed such careless behavior to happen on the field, even though they succeeded to the letter of their mission details. Rest assured that we will not allow this to happen again."
Meanwhile, the Washkatin Firestorm has become a rallying cry for the Free Mutineers of Galedon V, as recruitment has soared into the thousands in less than 20 hours. Another cell of the Free Mutineers sprung up within the Combine planet of Proserpina as well, however we will see if the rallying cry will surge their numbers, too.
Stay tuned for the latest news on the Free Mutineers and the 1st Vikings Irregulars here on Galedon V PNR: Fast, Accurate, and Impartial.
